The 10th annual NYC KidsFest is this weekend, with a full day of FREE music, theater, dance, storytelling, face painting and more, including entertainment by talented young musicians from NYC public schools.
NYC KidsFest is Sunday, June 21, noon to 5pm, in Morningside Park, 113th Street at Manhattan Avenue, behind St. John the Divine. Closest trains: 1, B or C to 110th Street

AJR – Jam and sing along to the awesome pop sounds of MTV’s AJR. These boys have travelled from their native NYC to MTV’s global stage, and are back at home for KidsFest. ajrbrothers.com
Galli Theater Presents: Little Red Riding Hood: Kids can get on stage and become a part of the play, interacting with the characters, including warning Little Red about the big bad Wolf. It’s a unique theater experience. gallitheaterny.com
Aubrey’s Show Kids: The talented dancers of Aubrey’s Show Kids hit the stage like lightning with their amazing and entertaining dance moves. A talented teacher and director, Mr. Aubrey brings Broadway to us through his dazzling young performers. f
Magnificent Mommy Dawn Lerner: The writer and author leads kids in a creative reading activity and game, to learn how to read a label for healthier snacking.
P.S.180 Violin Players: See these local soon-to-be celebrities they strut their stuff on stage and proudly represent the local community. Their virtuosity also will inspire kids in the audience to learn to play an instrument.
Reckless Entertainment Performers: Three artists of different talents, ranging from percussion to poetry, bring together a variety of influences for a performance full of kid-pleasing surprises.
