It’s anchors aweigh in NYC May 20-26 for Fleet Week New York 2015, when NYC celebrates the Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen of the US Military and we civilians get the chance to tour their ships, and nearly all events are FREE.
The official start is the Parade of Ships this morning along the Hudson River, 10am to 1pm.
Three U.S. Navy ships, four U.S. Naval Academy Yard Patrol boats, and two U.S. Coast Guard cutters are participating in the Parade of Ships. The ships can be seen along the Hudson River from Battery Park to just south of the George Washington Bridge, where they turn around and head back to their Fleet Week ports in Manhattan and Staten Island.
