Unless you’ve been on Mars the last few months, you know about growing anti-Semitism in Europe, often connected to Jihadist terrorism. Learn more about the threat in a FREE lecture by a human rights expert Tad Stahnke.
He will be discussing anti-Semitism and political extremism, especially in light of the growth of racist, and xenophobic political parties in Europe in 2014. These far-right parties now exert influence on many governments, especially in Hungary and Greece.
Stahnke will share how this atmosphere of deepening intolerance across Europe for Jews, LGBT and other marginalized groups, weakens European values, including trans-Atlantic allegiances such as NATO, and also affecting the political stand against Russian aggression in Ukraine.
He is an executive with Human Rights First, a non-profit group which fights human rights violations worldwide.
The free program on anti-Semitism and political extremisn in Europe is at 2pm Sunday, March 15, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Battery Park. Reservations are required to ensure space, and of course you are welcome to make a donation in lieu of free admission.
