Thunderbird American Indian Dancers: Their 40th annual concert of traditional music, dance and storytelling continues through Sunday on the Lower East Side. The Thunderbirds are a NYC-based group of Native Americans living in NYC and the Tri-State area. Tickets are $10 for adults, $1 for children.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar: This popular children’s book by award-winning children’s book illustrator and writer Eric Carle has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide since its 1969 release, and comes alive on stage in Tribeca. The tale follows the adventures of a very hungry caterpillar that progresses through a variety of foods towards his metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly. Children will delight in the antics of Little Cloud, who slips away from the rest and transforms itself into various shapes-a sheep, an airplane, a shark and more. Tickets are $12 for the show on Saturday, Feb. 28th.
Cambuyon: This percussion dance group from Spain is the Barcelona/Canary Islands version of the long-running US favorite Stomp! Cambuyon makes its US premiere in Times Square, with performances through Feb. 22nd. Ticket prices start at $15.
