Super Sabado! Carnaval: Grab your mascaras and celebrate the Caribbean and Latin American tradition of Carnaval with music, storytelling, dance workshops, and art-making activities for all ages, especially young ones at El Museuo Del Barrio, Fifth Avenue at 102nd St.. Noon to 5pm. FREE, no museum admission required. Event website.
Moon Over Manhattan: Celebrate Lunar New Year at Asia Society with special Family Day events including Korean samulnori drumming by New York Korean Traditional Marching Band. 1pm to 4pm. Ticketed event, $12 for adults, $5 for children. Asia Society is at Park Avenue and 70th St.
South Street Seaport Record Fair: Remember vinyl and CD? Buy, sell, trade, or just browse and remember when, at this annual fair. 2pm-10pm. Fulton Stall Market, 207A Front Street. Seaport events website
2015 Chinese New Year Parade: This annual celebration in Flushing, Queens, begins at 10am, marching from Union Street and 37th Ave to Main Stret and 39th Ave.
