Lunar New Year celebrations continue in NYC’s Chinatown this weekend with an all-day, family-friendly festival of traditional dances, calligraphy demonstrations, tastes of the New Year and more. The annual festival is Saturday, Feb. 28th, at MOCA, the Museum of Chinese in America, 213 Centre St.
Enjoy an awe-inspiring lion dance, create zodiac themed crafts, embark on storytelling journeys, and sway along with Chinatown’s Red Silk Dancers.
Dances and demonstrations begin at 11am. Tickets are $10/person and children under two are free. Advance online purchase recommended.
