The receipt you get after swiping a Starbucks Card or paying with a mobile device contains a unique sweepstakes code that must be registered online with a unique 22-digit sweepstakes code that changes with each receipt. Yes – 22 digits. That’s longer than most passwords.
You can enter unlimited times – once for each receipt with its unique 22-digit sweepstakes code. But you are limited to two entries per day per person.
You can enter the sweepstakes without making a purchase. But that requires filling out your name, email address, snail mail address and the number of times you visit Starbucks in a week, month, year, and Starbucks sends one 22-digit sweepstakes code to the email address. With no purchase, you can enter the sweepstakes only once, unless, of course, you have more than one name, snail mall address and email address.
Starbucks is calling the top prize of this It’s a Wonderful Card Ultimate Giveaway sweepstakes Starbucks for Life, even though a few sentences later they tell you that the freebie is for 30 years, not life.
So which is it, Starbucks? 30 years or life?
If you are promoting free Starbucks for life, why limit it to 30 years? Life or 30 years, Starbucks estimates the prize is worth around $54,000. Even so –
