Today in NYC
Holiday Train Show at Grand Central Terminal: The annual display of miniature trains opens today, through early February. See the full NYCOTC posting below for hours and more information.
Fall Fun Food: Outdoor food festival in Albany Plaza, downtown, featuring local restuarants such as Jimmy’s 43, plus craft beers and hard ciders. Noon to 2 p.m., at Albany and Greenwich Streets in Lower Manhattan. Also next Friday, Nov. 21.
NYC on the Cheap Saturday, Nov. 15
Children’s Book Fair: This annual pre-holiday event in Brooklyn features more than 30 local authors and illustrators. It’s a great chance for young bookworms to meet the authors of the books they read, plus there are arts and crafts workshops. At the Brooklyn Museum, Rubin Pavillion, noon to 4 p.m. Free, but a donation is encouraged.
Times Square Holiday Fair: Street fair with a Broadway show flair. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 45th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.
