Union Square Cider Week Nightmarket: Live music plus special hard cider vendors, along with local food vendors, 4-8 p.m.
United Nations Block Party: On 47th St. between First and Second Avenues, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Margaret Mead Film Festival: At the American Museum of Natural History, showcasing films about cultures around the world. Tickets are $10-$12 per film or get a $30 day pass to see multiple films.

40th Annual Americana Jazz Festival: Street fair with a musical flavor, Seventh Avenue and 52nd St., 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
