Last year’s popular Photoville returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park from Thursday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Sept. 28 with more photo displays, workshops and events than before, and it’s all FREE. Photoville 2014 takes over Pier 5 with a pop-up village of 60 shipping containers showcasing more than 50 international photographers, including top photojournalists and fine art photographers and talented newcomers.
There’s the chance to get your own portfolio reviewed by a top pro, sit in on interactive photo workshops on lighting and composition, and enjoy nighttime multi-media projections. There’s also a Smorgasburg beer garden, because all that visual and cultural stimulation can make you thirsty and hungry.
Check the Photoville 2014 website for schedules and sign-up information.
Last year’s Photoville drew more than 40,000 people, so expect a crowd, especially on the two weekends.
