Celebrate National Root Beer Float Day with a FREE root beer float on Wednesday, Aug. 6, and support injured US service men and women in the bargain. A&W is giving away the free floats and collecting donations for the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides a full range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.
During the 2013 celebration of National Root Beer Float Day, A&W Restaurants donated more than $100,000 to WWP, and hopes to increase this amount in 2014.
Stop in to your local A&W anytime between 2 p.m. and store closing (times will vary) for a FREE small A&W Root Beer Float, and please donate the price of your free root beer float – or more – to honor and empower wounded warriors across the country through Wounded Warrior Project
Among other things, the Wounded Warrior Project teaches injured vets sports like scuba diving, skiing and wheelchair basketball. You will never be more humbled or inspired than sharing a favorite sport with one or more of these wounded warrior heroes, as I did scuba diving in Florida recently.
