Barclays Center – Dinosaurs take over the Brooklyn arena when life-size puppets take over the space in a $20 million extravaganza called “Walking with Dinosaurs”. More than 8 million people have seen this show in more than 200 cities. It’s in Brooklyn for four days only, July 16-20, then moves to Newark’s Prudential Center for another four days. AMNH – The new exhibit, “Pterosaurs: Flight of the Age of Dinosaurs” includes the virtual opportunity to make a fierce flying lizard do its thing via high-tech motion-sensing technology. Tickets for the special exhibit are $27 for adults and $16 for kids, and include museum admission. The exhibit is open through January 2015. AMNH Pterosaurs website
Bronx Zoo – More than 30 Disney-like fully-animatronic monsters roam the grounds of the famous zoo in the return of the Dinosaur Safari. The dinos include a 40-foot long Tyrannosaurus and a new Stegosaurus.. Admission is $16.95 for adults and $11.95 for kids.
