The store is at 1333 Broadway, between 35th and 36th St. in Herald Square, steps from Macy’s, Uniqlo, H&M, Old Navy and JCP. Twice as large as a typical Urban Outfitters location, this one expanded space for the chain’s new active wear label, Without Walls.
The newest Urban Outfitters also includes a Hairroin Salon, Intelligentsia Café, Tortoise & Blonde eyewear boutique, and a branch of LA’s Amoeba Records, offering more than 1,200 titles of vinyl records. With the recent shutdown of J&R and its huge record store, that’s good news for vinyl fans.
While you are in Herald Square and Greeley Square, check out Broadway Bites, the outdoor food market open daily 11AM to 9PM, featuring local NYC vendors including Mayhem & Stout, Mexicue, Brooklyn Taco, and Bangkok Bar.
BTW: Urban Outiftters owns or operates more than 400 stores nationwide, including its other brands Anthropologie, Free People and Terrain.
