The new channel offers uncut, commercial-free flicks including the recent James Bond thriller Skyfall, Star Trek Into Darkness, Marvel’s The Avengers and The Hunger Games. I’ve also watched older favorites including James Bond Goldfinger and To Russia With Love.
The movie freebies has been TWC’s way of introducing the new entertainment package, which will offer more than 150 on-demand films a month, plus concert and comedy events. Time Warner Cable hasn’t said how much the service will cost once it stops being free, but has said the free movies stop being free on June 18.
In New York City, tune to channel 234 to get started with Epix for free. Through June 18 only. After that, it will cost you a monthly fee.
