Zabar’s is hosting two FREE Passover cooking classes on Sunday, April 6. Cookbook author Jennifer Abadi, who also teaches cooking at JCC, is demonstrating traditional Jewish recipes from the Middle East, including Yemenite charoset with dates and apple, Moroccan tajine with cinnamon and almonds, and flourless pistachio cake with cardamon syrup.
The Passover recipe demos are 2-3:30pm and 4-5:30pm on Zabar’s second floor. There are no reservations, and since the demo space is not very large, be there early enough for a space to see and taste.
If you are looking for a Seder to join, the UJA will help you find one in New York City, Westchester or Long Island. Click here.
Jennifer Abadi’s most recent Jewish cookbook is “A Fistful of Lentils: Syrian-Jewish Recipes from Grandma Fritzle’s Kitchen”.
