Hot Stuff – The second annual NY Hot Sauce Expo is Saturday and Sunday in Midtown. Celebrate the pepper with free tastes, along with beverages to tame the tongue. Full NYCOTC posting earlier this week.
Everybody Loves a Parade – Celebrate everything Greek at the annual Greek Independence Day Parade on Sunday. Marching up Fifth Avenue, from 64th St. to 79th St., beginning at 1:45 pm.
Macy’s Spring Flower Show – Enjoy the colors and scents of spring in the World’s Largest Store in Herald Square. Full NYCOTC posting.
Take a Hike – Join the Shorewalkers on Sunday for a eight mile guided walk around Manhattan, focusing on the museums of midtown. Meet at 9 a.m. at the statue of Prometheus in Rockefeller Center. Suggested donation is $3. Wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water and a snack. Shorewalkers website.
Street Fair – The Waverly Place Block Association hosts one of the first outdoor street fairs of the season. Sunday, 10am to 7pm on Washington Square North, between Macdougal Street and University Place.
Beetlemania – Celebrate, and remember, the 50th anniversary of the arrival of The Beetles in New York City on their first concert and TV appearance tour. This FREE exhibit opened last month to huge crowds, who are mostly gone now, so you can have the place to yourself and your memories of the Fab Four and the music that changed the world.
