Porter is a great small airline which often bypasses large busy airports for smaller ones closer to town. I flew it last year to go skiing at Mt. Tremblant, bypassing the huge Montreal airport and the occasionally treacherous two-hour drive, to land in a smaller airport 30 minutes from the slopes. Plus, a complimentary Porter shuttle takes you between the airport and Mt. Tremblant. That’s more than customer service – that’s an additional savings of $50 or more.
In Toronto, Porter lands at the close-in local airport, where you can take a 10-minute ferry to downtown. That saves both time and $50 or more in shuttle bus or taxi costs from the main international airport outside of town.
