Sam’s Club has stepped in to help U. S. military families shot out of low-cost groceries and pharmacy needs because of the government shutdown, which has closed commissaries on many US military bases.
Sam’s Club locations across the U.S. have stepped up and are waiving their membership fees for active and retired military personnel and their families as long as the commissaries remain closed (the cost of membership can range from $45 to $100 annually).
C’mon Congress. Get your act together. This shutdown is hurting the US economy.
