A beloved New York City summer tradition, New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks returns for its 47th season of FREE outdoor concerts in parks in each borough. The first concert is Wednesday, July 10th on the great lawn of Brooklyn’s Prospect Park.
New York Philharmonic Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the orchestra in a program including Dorvak’s Cello Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, plus a crowd-pleasing fireworks show. Concerts are at 8 p.m. Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner. And please be courteous to your neighbors — no loud conversations during the music, either person to person or on cellphones.
