Brides can get beautiful new designer dresses at steep discount, and help fight cancer at the same time, from Brides Against Breast Cancer, today, in Midtown. The dresses are new, donated by designers, and gently worn, donated by brides who don’t expect to wear them again, in sizes 0 to 30.
Brides Against Breast Cancer donates 71 cents of every dollar to free programs supporting breast cancer victims, including children’s support groups. Today’s Brides Against Breast Cancer program is at Zanger Hall in the West Side Jewish Center, 347 West 34 Street, noon to 5 p.m. There’s a VIP “Pink Power Hour” hour from noon to 1 p.m. before the event opens to the general public, for a tax-deductible $40. Then, the event is FREE, until 5 p.m. You can also stop by to donate a gently worn wedding gown, which will be sold at one of the Brides Against Breast Cancer sales around the country.
