There are no smiles for fans of Zachary’s Smile. The popular, quirky boutique with bargain priced new and vintage clothing, footwear and accessories, is closing shop, with a major going out of business sale. Zachary’s closed its Noho store recently, and now the last NYC location, in the West Village, also is a victim of rising rents.
From now through Thursday, clothing is $30 or less, vintage goes and boots are $10 and $15, and accessories are nothing higher than $10. On March 29th, the sale turns into a bag sale — whatever you can fit into a sack is $25.
Great buys. Sad goodbyes for more vanishing New York City stores.
