A group of New York City’s top chefs, artists, bands and other performers are staging a Hurricane Sandy fund-raiser called S.O.S., for Shame on Sandy, and every penny of ticket sales will go directly to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City for Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts. Tickets are not cheap – $150 each – but neither is the price of Hurricane Sandy damage, especially for those who lost their homes, businesses or jobs to the superstorm. Shame on Sandy is at the Highline Stages in Chelsea on Saturday, January 12th. Click here for tickets.
The list of who is cooking includes top chefs Eric Ripert, Daniel Boulud, Mario Batali and Tom Colichio.
The list of celebrities and entertainers participating includes Patrick Stewart, Coney Island Swandive, Abigail Breslin and Reggie Watts.
