Turn back the clock with the Harlem Swing Dance Society, and join lindy hoppers, steppers, swing dancers and other kindrid spirits at Sunday afternoon swing dances at some of Harlem’s signature swing dance locations. Harlem is where swing dancing originated, and one of the goals of HSDS is to bring it back to Harlem from midtown, downtown and around the town. The Swing Back dance parties start today, Sunday, June 24th, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a FREE live jazz band, at the Dana Discovery Center at the Harlem Meer in Central Park, at 110th St, close to Fifth Ave. Future events will be at the fabled Savoy Ballroom and other venues. Click here for the full schedule, through August.
