Jones Wood Foundry on the UES is hosting a day-long celebration on Sunday, June 3rd, marking the 60th year on the throne for the venerable British monarch.
The NYC event is produced in association with the American- Scottish Foundation, and features a roster of bands and street performers, which the Brits call buskers.
The festivities begin with a photo call for all corgis and bulldogs — the Queen’s favorite breeds — to pose regally for a congratulatory card. There also are raffle prizes, including tickets to the new hit Tony-nominated show One Man Two Guvnors, for which Jones Wood Foundry is the official restaurant, and a “mystery box” donated by a regular customer when he’s in town, Keith Richards.
Jones Wood Foundry’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 3rd. There’s no admission and no cover for the entertainment, which takes place in the Conservatory and Garden.
Food choices incude $5 for special Jubilee Pasties and $12 for Cornish pasties with braised red cabbage, plus the regular brunch and dinner menu.
James Wood Foundry is at 401 E. 76th Street, between 1st and York.
