There are several smartphone apps that will help you save money on gas, drive more safely, including apps that will add turn-by-turn spoken directions to replace an old navigation system that doesn’t talk to you. Best off all, these apps are FREE. Here’s a list of them, just published on Living on the Cheap, the new website that links more than one dozen cities on the cheap, including New York City on the Cheap. And remember, the 2012 New York International Auto Show opens to the public on Friday, April 6th.
