Celebrate the birthday of Civil War General and US President Ulysses S. Grant on Friday, April 27th, when Civil War re-enactors fire weapons similar to those used in the Civil War, plus special tours and more, at Grant’s Tomb. At 11 a.m., there will be a presentation of colors, speakers and a wreath-laying ceremony at the tomb.
Grant’s Tomb is at 122nd St. and Riverside Drive. He and his wife are both buried here. Grant’s Tomb is operated by the National Park Service. Admission is FREE, and Park Rangers give FREE talks are available to the public at the visitor center, Monday through Sunday at 11:15 AM, 1:15 PM, and 3:15 PM.
