Warrior Champions is about four Iraqi war veterans who have lost limbs but have dreams of competing in the Olympics. It is an inspiring, heart-wrenching film, and you can see it FREE on Sunday, February 26th. The free screening is 2-4 PM at the Mid-Manhattan Branch of the New York Public Librray, on Fifth Avenue, across the avenue from the main NYPL branch with the stone lions out front. Warrior Champions is being shown to tie in with 2012 ReelAbilities NY Disabilities Film Festival, held earlier in February in dozens of venues throughout New York City, Long Island and Westchester. Warrior Champions was part of the 2011 Festival. There are no reservations, so get there by 1:45 to ensure a seat. The Mid-Manhattan library is wheelchair accessible.
