The Brooklyn Public Library is the most appropriate place for an art exhibit of collages about Brooklyn. The exhibit, entitled “The Other Bushwick”, opens Thursday, December 8th, at the Brooklyn Public Library, with a reception, where you can meet the artist, Bob Rothstein, and chat about how Brooklyn and the rest of NYC has changed over the years. He’s a delightful man — happens to be a friend of mine — but more importantly, he’s a fine artist and painter. If you can’t get to opening night, the free exhibit runs through February 18, 2012. The BPL is at Grand Army Plaza; take the #2 or #3 train to Grand Army Plaza station.
