Need a pancake fix? There already are more than a half-dozen iHop restaurants open in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx, and another is about to be added, in the Flatiron/Chelsea neighborhood. The operators of Limelight Marketplace, in the former church on Sixth Avenue and 20th Street — which became a hot nightclub and disco — report a new iHop will be opening there. But there is no date announced. The nearest iHop is at 235 East 14th St., the city’s only 24-hour iHop. Apparently, that’s doing such a good business that iHop is looking for more locations. The Limelight location is a curious addition, since the menu does not exactly fit with the upscale names renting space in the Limelight Marketplace, including Todd English. Last year, iHop announced it would be opening a location in Times Square, but there’s been no additional word on that.
