Crustacean alert: Carmines on the Upper West Side and Ulysses Folkhouse in the Wall St. Area have weekly lobster dinner specials. Here’s the deal —
Carmine’s calls it an Italian Clambake, and it’s $45 for two people — two 1 lb. lobsters, six backed clams, 12 mussels, salad or pasta, plus potatoes and polenta. Carmine’s is at Broadway and 90th Street. Note — this lobster deal is not available at the Carmine’s in the Broadway theater district, and there’s no information about it on the restaurant website. I know it’s happening because I saw the chalkboard outside the restaurant, and the manager promises me the $45 for two deal is good through the end of 2011, at least. And not just Mondays — you can get this Italian clambake on Tuesday, too.
Ulysses Folkhouse offers $18.95 lobster dinners every Monday from 4 p.m. on. Lobster Mondays are at both locations, both in the Financial District, at 93 Pearl Street and at 58 Stone Street.
