Airlines are gearing up for the summer travel season with new flights into and out of NYC airports. Here are some new flight options that might help your planning for a weekend getaway or longer vacation —
JetBlue now has four daily flights between Newark-Liberty and Boston
Airberlin now offers four non-stop flights a week between JFK and Berlin, on comfortable Airbus A330-200 planes. The non-stops mean you don’t have to change planes in Frankfurt or Munich anymore. The non-stops are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Cathay Pacific now has four daily flights from JFK to Vancouver and on to Hong Kong. I flew the NY-Vancouver route portion earlier this year, and am suitably impressed by Cathay Pacific service and food.
South African Airways now is flying twice a day non-stop between JFK and Johannesburg, departing at 11:15 a.m. and at 8:35 p.m.
As soon as I hear about airfare sales and deals — on these or other airlines — I’ll let you know.
