Celebrate spring and the environment by joining the second annual Green Auction, and bid on ‘bucket list’ vacations and experiences, including a trip to Patagonia, spending the day with former President Bill Clinton, eating your way through NYC and Paris with world-renowned chef Alain Ducasse, and fllying somewhere with Harrison Ford as your pilot in his own private plane. Bidding on these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities gives you both memories and the chance to support four top environmental charities: the Central Park Conservancy, Conservation International, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Oceana. Last year, the Green Auction raised nearly $2.4 million to benefit the non-profit green organizations. The bidding runs through April 7th, through Charity Buzz/Bid to Save the Earth.
Don’t be scared away by the big buck bids. There also are some affordable ones appropriate to NYC on the Cheap, including a two-night stay at Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont and a one-hour private violin lesson at the Julliard School. Bids for those last time I looked were just $100.
On Tuesday, March 28th, there’s a special celebrity-studded event and live auction of exclusive packages at Christie’s New York and hosted by Seth Meyers of Saturday Night Live. The evening includes a live runway show of one-of-a-kind designs by top international designers and presented by Runway to Green.
