Do you want to see all ten of the films nominated for the 2011 Oscars for Best Picture? It will take you two days to sit through them all at the annual AMC Oscar Showcase. Five films are being shown back-to-back, reel-to-reel, on Saturday, February 19th, and five more on Saturday, February 26th. See one, or see them all. Check the AMC website for the specific schedule and the list of all the AMC movie theaters in the USA participating in this marathon. In New York City, the Oscar Showcase marathon is at AMC 25 on 42nd Street just west of Times Square. A one-day pass is s$35, good for either day, and comes with a $10 AMC gift card to use for popcorn or other snacks. The two-day pass is $60, and you can split the films among the two weekends, and comes with a $20 gift card to use at the concessions. Some AMC theatres run an unlimited refils promo on their large drinks and popcorn, making this an even better deal. If you’re up for a 24-hour marathon, you can save even more: On Saturday, February 26, you can get a $50 movie pass & watch all 10 movies back-to-back. Your ticket comes with a $20 AMC gift card, too. The Oscars awards show is Sunday, February 27th.
