The prestigious Manhattan Symphonie, conducted by Gregory Singer, performs a concert in memory of the lives lost in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001, and the families and friends affected by the attacks on the World Trade Center. The concert is 7 p.m. at the New York Society for Ethical Culture, 2 W. 64th St. It is a concert of the Dvorak “New World” Symphony, an especially appropriate choice, since the composer wove in the diverse musical traditions of the New York City melting pot, including Native American, European, African-American and Asian influences. The presentation is part of the “Third 9/11 Circle Wind Memorial Concert” series. Tickets are $10 General Admission, and should be purchased in advance through Gregory Singer Fine Violins, (212) 724-4476,singerviolins.com, or by PayPal at .
