UPDATE This posting is from 2016. See the Regal Cinemas 2017 schedule here.
Regal Cinemas has a great way to keep kids entertained on the cheap this summer with $1 movie admission two mornings a week all summer, beginning next week. Two films are shown each day, and you can see both for the same $1 admission.
All the films are G- or PG- rated. The Regal Summer Movie Express $1 tickets are for shows Tuesday and Wednesday only, for the 10AM screening only, for nine weeks, beginning June 7th.
Also, a portion of the proceeds benefit the Will Rogers Institute, one of the nation’s leading groups researching cures for health issues affecting children. So it’s a win-win – a cheap day at the movies for your kids, and funding for a top program to help end childhood illnesses.
Regal Summer Movie Express 2016 films include:
- Week 1: The LEGO Movie, Max
- Week 2: Goosebumps, The Iron Giant: Signature Edition
- Week 3: Pan, The Smurfs 2
- Week 4: Despicable Me 2, Home
- Week 5: Minions, The Peanuts Movie
- Week 6: Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Curious George
- Week 7: The Book of Life, Hotel Transylvania 2
- Week 8: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, Shaun The Sheep
- Week 9: The Croods, Dr. Suess’ The Lorax
Each week both movies play on both days. Seating is first-come, first-served limited to theater’s capacity. Tickets are available only at the theater box office on the day of the show. For participating theaters nationwide, click here.
