The Tribeca Film Festival winds up this weekend with two FREE family events Saturday in the streets of Tribeca.
Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair – Grown-ups can watch local chefs create unique dishes. Kids can watch see a sneak peek of upcoming summer comedy “The Smurfs 2,” and enjoy appearances by cast members in Smurfwear. There’s also a FREE screening of “The Smurfs” — tickets are first-come, first-served. The street fair is Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Greenwich Street between Chambers and Hubert Streets. Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day – This seventh annual event encourages kids to get active and play ball games. Local athletes, mascots, and sports personalities will be on-site to engage fans Putt a hole in one, throw a touchdown, sharpen your fencing skills, hit the perfect slap shot, watch ultimate frisbee tricks or learn how to throw the perfect pitch, guided by local athletes, team mascots and popular NYC sports personalities.
