It’s unusual to find this many money-saving coupons in a weekly sales flyer — four dozen coupons totaling more than $122 in savings in this week’s RiteAid bargain book.  Of course, you don’t need everything on the list, but it’s worth checking out coupons ranging from $1 to $5.25 off.  These include –

  • Huggies diapers and other baby needs
  • Crest and AquaFresh toothpaste
  • Eucerin and Olay moisturizers and creams

Of course, you’ll need the RiteAid shopper’s card, called Wellness+, and shop before store closing time on Saturday, March 12th

It’s amazing how expensive make-up has gotten in the last few years.  Each time I need something, it seems the price has gone up one or two dollars.  So getting a free sample helps both our looks and our budget.

Even though I’ve been known to grumble \ about the number of health-beauty-drug\  chainstores polka dotting The Big Apple, it makes it easy to shop for the best buys within a few blocks.  Here are this weeks BOGO buy-one-get-one free deals at Duane Reade, CVS, Walgreen’s and Rite Aid.

Duane Reade —  Velour beach towels are BOGO, just in time for the summertime pool, beach and vacation season.  Also BOGO are Nature Made vitamins — and the Duane Read sale is all month, not just this week.

CVS – BOGO deals on CVS brand Ibuprofen, Acetominophen and Naproxin.  Also, Maxwell House instant coffee and Bumble Bee tuna.  Buyer beware — the last time I bought a BOGO Bumble Bee tuna, it was mostly water and hardly any tuna.  CVS also has Nature Made vitamins on BOGO sale.  And the BOGO deal on CVS brand batteries continues from last week.

Walgreens — Foster Grant magnified reading glasses are not on BOGO bargains very often, so this is the week to stock up.  Vitamins on BOGO sale, too, the Finest Nature brand.   Back-to-school specials are starting this week already, with packs of pencils at just 19 cents.

Rite Aid – BOGO deals for the week are Flintstones vitamins for the kids and One A Day vitamins for their parents.  Also, Rite Aid btrand antasic tablets and liquid, and Joint Flex cream to stop leg cramps.  Several cosmetic brands are buy one get second one at half-off, including Revlon mascara and lipstick and  Maybelline nail polishes
