If you want to know more about your family tree, this two-day genealogy event in NYC will show you how to find your ancestors in databases around the world. There are workshops on how to find people on the internet, stories about the great immigration waves of the 1800s and 1900s, and expert from Ellis Island and Irish and African-American databases. You can even bring old, undated family photos and have them analyzed by the experts. The ancestry event is at Metropolitan Pavilion Thursday/Friday, October 25/26. Tickets are $15 a day.
