Of all days to have an airfare sale — Virgin America has reduced rates for travel beginning November 8th, through November 13th, if you book by the end of today, October 29th, when the entire airline industry is tied in knots by Hurricane Sandy. Sample one-way fares include New York-Los Angeles, $173 each way, New York-Las Vegas $189. Of course, you’ll have to book online, because you are unlikely to get anybody on the phone today.
