NYC lindy dancing on the cheap: 50s, 60s music Sock Hop on Sunday

Sunday, from 7 p.m. to midnight, is the monthly Sock Hop Sunday, dancing to a DJ spinning rock ‘n’ roll from the 50s and 60s, recorded by guys with names like Elvis, Fats and Jerry Lee and groups named Del Vikings, Teenagers and Beatles. The $15 admission includes one bar drink. At Cafe Ignuana, 240 West 54th, a few doors away from the original Studio 54.
