This is a Saturday night special deal — $20 for dinner and dancing at the world-famous Copacabana in Times Square on Oct. 13th. This is a special monthly dinner and dancing event designed for boomers and beyond, featuring music from the 60s and beyond, including old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll along with the Copa’s signature salsa, merengue, cha cha and mambo. There’s a full hot and cold buffet 7 pm to 8 pm, and DJ music until 11 pm. Admission is $20, and there are no reservations.
The dinner dance is on the Copa’s Rooftop lounge, which has an inside room for dancing and an outdoor area with a glass cover and heating lamps for skyline viewing when the weather is nice, and retracts closed if it isn’t. Dress code strictly enforced — that means no jeans, tacky t-shirts or sneakers. The Copa is at 248 West 47th Street off Eighth Avenue.
