It’s called the Affordable Art Fair because it is new, original works from recent MFA grads, up-and-comers and even a few household names for a reasonable price. More than 60 New York City art galleries group together this weekend for a special three-day art show at the Tunnel in Chelsea.
Prices start at around $100, for one-of-a-kind paintings, sculptures, photography and mixed media. There also are free tours from artists, curators, and even a children’s view of the fair from filmmaker-satirist Morgan Spurlock. Click here to purchase $6 discount admission tickets, instead of paying the full $10 price.  The Affordable Art Fair is Friday-Sunday, October 5-7.  Hours vary by day — noon to 5 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
