voting booth clipart from www.nyconthecheap.com.If you are not registered to vote in the upcoming Presidential and Congressional election on November 6th, today is your chance. Today is National Voter Registration Day, with registration drives throughout the USA.  In New York City, there’s an historic effort aimed at registering tens of thousands of new voters in a single day by a coalition of grassroots organizations in New York City which have organized more than 100 events to generate genuine excitement about participating in the political process, and get you registered.

This is a non-partisan effort that includes the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG), League of Women Voters, Common Cause/NY and the NYC Campaign Finance Board, which are holding more than 50 registration drives around the NYC metro area, with the goal of registering 10,000 new NYC voters. Check the  New York State National Voter Registration Day website to locate a registration drive location near you, or to volunteer to help others register.

If you don’t vote, you don’t have the right to complain about who wins.
