Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a delicious film for kids and grown-ups, too, and you all can see it for FREE on Sunday, Sept. 23, at a special screening at the New York Public Library Mid-Manahttan branch. The popular 2005 Tim Burton film stars Johhny Depp as Willy Wonka, based on the ever story by Roald Dahl.  The free flick is 2-4 p.m., on the sixth floor.  There are no reservations, so be sure to arrive in time to get a seat.  Event website.  The NYPL Mid-Manhattan branch is on Fifth Avenue at 40th Street, across from the main branch guarded by the two world-famous stone lions.
