Reminder: This is the final week for 2012 Summer NYC Restaurant Week,  which ends Monday, August 20th, with more than 100 of New York City’s top restaurants participating with three-course lunches at $24.07 and dinners at $35.  Here’s another NY insider deal — if you have an American Express card (and don’t most of us) –register with Amex for this special event, and if you use it four times to dine at a participating NYC Restaurant Week restaurant, you’ll get a $20 credit on your Amex bill. This is the 20th year for the summer NYC Restaurant Week, which began as a way of beefing up business in the slow, dog days of summer, and has turned into a major culinary event copied by cities across the USA and around the world, from Albuquerque to Warsaw.  You can make reservations through Open Table, directly with participating restaurants, or through the NYC Convention and Visitors Bureau known as NYCGO.
