Foodie alert — The fifth annual PARKED! food truck festival returns to the South Street Seaport today. More than 30 trucks are serving up everything from schnitzel and tacos to ice cream and Belgian waffles with whipped cream, plus additional local vendors who don’t have trucks but do have great street food. Food truck favorites include Mexicue, Frites ‘N’ Meats, Schnitzel & Things, Wafels & Dinges, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Sweetery NYC and more, from 10 AM to 9 PM. There also are beverage booths dispensing beer and other adult beverages, plus entertainment including face painters and stilt walkers to keep the kids entertained. Admission is free, but the food isn’t. NYCOTC advises that you go early — last year the festival drew more than 20,000 hungry visitors, and some vendors ran out of supplies before the event ended.
