It’s called the Parallax Art Fair, bringing together more than 200 artists from around the world, into a single gallery space in Soho, to sell their contemporary paintings and mixed-media art directly to the public. This is not street fair variety schlock. These are curated pieces in an upscale space, the event venue 82 Mercer, which is also the address. There’s no real design to the way artwork is exhibited. You might find French landscape watercolor paintings next to videos by young British Asians in the same room as a 20 foot high anti-war memorial. Admission is FREE, with a suggested donation that goes toward the PAF Artists Benevolent Fund, for the children of artists. The Parallax Art Fair is open Saturday, August 4th, 11 AM to 7 PM, and
