The Charlie Parker Jazz Festival annually assembles some of the finest musicians in the world who reflect his musical genius, to promote appreciation for the influential and world-renowned artist, and promote American jazz. 2012 is the 20th anniversary of the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival, sponsored by the City Parks Foundation. Events include performances, panel discussions and jazz workshops. Here’s a partial list of performers this weekend, Friday, August 24th to Sunday, August 26th.
