Two kid-pleasing films are showing for FREE in NYC on Friday, July 27th, part of the bounty of free outdoor summer events in New York. Here’s where you can take the kids to see Hugo and the Muppets — separately, of course –
Hugo — is this week’s offering at Hudson River Park RiverFlicks for Kids at Pier 46, at Charles Street. Starting time is around 8:30 p.m., at dusk. There’s free popcorn, too, but not free beverages. The movie next week is Puss ‘n’ Boots. Event website.
The Muppet Movie — is this week’s offering at the USS Intrepid Air + Space Museum, at 43rd Street and the Hudson River. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic basket, but no alcohol is permitted. The movie next Friday is Jurassic Park. Event website.
There’s also a Muppet Movie Sing-Along on Saturday, July 28th, at the Prospect Park Bandshell, at 7:30 p.m. Also FREE, also outdoors. This event is part of the Celebrate Brooklyn series of free summer concerts and events.
