http://www.nyconthecheap.comThe list of awards author Don Lee has won is almost as long as the books he writes.  Meet the popular author Thursday, July 26th, at a FREE reading from his latest novel, The Collective, which follows three Asian-American writers and artists exploring the dream of becoming an artist, and forming a collective to support one another in their struggles to succeed. The novel questions the possibilities of our dreams and questions whether the reality is worth the sacrifice — a theme that’s relevant to all of us.  Author Don Lee has received awards including an American Book Award and an O. Henry Award, and his stories have been published widely in magazines including GQ. He is currently the director of the MFA program in creative writing at Temple University in Philadelphia.  The reading is 7 p.m. at the Asian American Writer’s Workshop, 110 West 27th Street, 6th floor.  Read more about Don Lee and his new book on the publisher’s website.
